Regal’s LS2 proved to be a stylish bowrider with the company’s patented FasTrac hull design and attractive transom layout. The LS2 Surf adds the builder’s favorite surf system to the mix to safely enhance the wake of proximity wakesurfing.

A key component, Volvo Penta’s forward drive relocates the dual propellers to the front of the drive, stowed safely under the hull. Side benefits include less exhaust and being able to do things a V-Drive can’t. Trims allow you to shape the waves even more and make your daily cruising more comfortable.
The LS2 Surf hull offers many of the same characteristics as Regal’s 2300 running surface. This is what the company considers the best hull design. For Surf, the designers did the work of clearing the water exiting the hull and added both Surfher tubs and ballast. The tabs are from Wake Worx, modified to Regal specs. A total of 1,800 pounds of ballast when full is distributed between her two bags in the rear storage compartment and her one bag in the ski locker. Tabs, ballast and speed are easily controlled via the Volvo Penta touchscreen display.

For a 22 footer using forward drive with only a few passengers, the LS2 Surf put out solid, fun waves that impressed our test crew. As with any surf boat, adding passengers only makes the waves bigger. Regal has clearly spent time improving their surf package and have found it easier to use and more effective than previous iterations.

When you’re not smashing endless waves, the LS2 Surf offers lifelike comfort. The bow cockpit is square to create more usable space.
A double-wide social seat awaits the captain and mate. Flip the seatbacks and they’re adjacent to the U-shaped cockpit bench for a conversation-friendly layout. The transom rumble seat is like a mini sunpad. Rotate the front cushion up to create a backrest.
