Sea Ray’s SLX 260 Surf offers luxury and performance for those who want a life in the water, while serving boat buyers looking for the thrill of wakesurfing.
The story of this ship begins with its performance. Our test boat was powered by her 430hp 8.2L Mag HO on her MerCruiser with Digital Throttle and Shift (DTS). The extremely powerful SLX 260 Surf hits 30 mph in 11.4 seconds (6.4 seconds), takes off and flies. Filled with 1,800 pounds of ballast and with watersports applications activated on her intuitive Simrad touchscreen, it offers exciting surf waves that can be shaped and sized to suit individual riders. It has a top speed of 43.5 miles per hour and carries a crew of three, 68 gallons of fuel, and safety equipment. Our tester’s forward-looking, surf-friendly Bravo Four S drive spun a 19.5-inch pitch stainless steel prop set.

I was impressed with the electric watersports tower. It folds down with the push of a button, comes with a bimini top and features wakesurf tow points on each side.A swim platform transforms a clean section into a submerged step, perfect for prepping for water sports or lounging in coves. At the helm, a Simrad touchscreen enabled control of the Smart Tow system. This is a version of our proven watersports application created specifically for Sea Ray. It was used to fill the ballast tanks in about 90 seconds and to drain the water from the ballast tanks. A surfing wave shifts from right to left in an instant. It has more features, but the best of all is that the system is easy to navigate for beginners.

When it comes to luxury and convenience, this SLX 260 Surf has exceptional style. The upholstery is multi-textured, multi-coloured and features attractive stitching. It has a head compartment. Try to find one on a purpose-built water sports boat. It has a commode and a sink. There is also a bow block outside the door to keep the wind out of the cockpit, and an acrylic door provides an aft walkway to the swim platform (another feature often lacking in watersport boats). . LED lighting provides function and ambiance.
Are you in the market for an amenity-filled luxury bowrider that delivers high levels of wakesurfing excitement? Demo the Sea Ray SLX 260 Surf.
