My personal diet consists of chicken sandwiches and French fries at a high rate. As a result, my order history is full of chicken sandwiches. I’m a Baptist minister by profession, so I know chickens very well. Well, at least I’m familiar with the Chick Fil-a sandwich. Connections Eatery’s ‘Hand-Breaded Chicken Sandwich’ is compared to the Chick Fil-a version.
Connections Eatery in Epcot’s World Celebration district continues to be busy. Additional seats were added on the day I wrote this review. Sources also say cast members are asking people to order food before entering this spacious and comfortable dining area. For the record, reserve a table in this large seating area. I think I had to make this nasty change based on how difficult it was to do.
This chicken sandwich is $11.99. The menu description sounds a bit boring. You’ll find the menu includes sandwiches on toasted brioche buns, signature sauces, and house-made pickles. Of course, the sandwich contains a large piece of breaded chicken. You can get fries, a small salad, or one small orange.
So is this sandwich worth your time? Well, this menu item offers a safe choice. Picky diners will be delighted with this sandwich. I like the brioche bun. Bread, however, serves only as a sandwich medium. The brioche flavor of this bun pales in comparison to the brioche buns served at other theme parks in the area. A sandwich that goes well with our special sauce. Most guests find the sauce to be a neutral flavor, but this sandwich does. For those who want to avoid pickles, be careful with juices.
A mix of perspectives, this chicken sandwich ranges in quality between the Chick Fil-A version and the Burger King version. Remember I was warned about my fast food chicken sandwich knowledge. Basically, the quality of this sandwich works as a safe fast food fried chicken sandwich. I’ve heard some complaints that the bottom part of the bread is sticky. Again, I blame it more on the pickles than the chicken. .
All in all, this sandwich makes a decent counter-service option. Maybe this sandwich would be better if the complimentary soft drinks were topped up while dining here. Now if only they could upgrade those fries. Eat like you mean it!
