Walt Disney World Resort has a lot to offer guests.
Of course, Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Epcot, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios are the most popular theme parks in The Most Magical Places on Earth, but there’s so much more to experience.
Walt Disney World Resort has four theme parks that attract millions of Disney World guests each year, plus two water parks at Disney Blizzard Beach and Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon.
Disney’s Blizzard Beach was under construction for much of the year before reopening just a few weeks ago. Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon has closed indefinitely, just as water parks have reopened. At this time, Disney has not announced a reopening date for Typhoon Lagoon, and it is believed that Blizzard Beach will be closed again when Typhoon Lagoon reopens.
Many Disney Parks fans have wondered what was going on during Typhoon Lagoon’s closure, and now we have some sort of answer.
Walt Disney World Resort has applied for a total of seven permits for the construction of rides and areas within its parks. Rides for which permits have been submitted include Crash ‘N’ Gusher, Wave Pool and Keelhaul Falls. Several other general permits have been applied for for water parks.
When Disney’s Blizzard Beach reopens, frozen Themes set up in areas within the water park. It is currently unknown if any new rethemes will be introduced when Typhoon Lagoon reopens.
At the moment there are rumors that the water park will reopen early next year.
