The new food festival coming to Disney California Adventure has proven so popular that Disneyland extended the event by just a few hours after fans eagerly bought tickets as soon as they went on sale.
Ticket sales for Touch of Disney have been extended by an additional two weeks due to the experience’s popularity, Disneyland officials said.
A Touch of Disney begins March 18 at Disney California Adventure and runs through at least April 19. The event, which he originally planned to run until April 5, will now run five days a week, Thursday through Monday from noon to 8 p.m.

Disney California Adventure and Disneyland closed in March and are unlikely to return to full operations until spring or summer under the state’s issued COVID-19 health and safety reopening guidelines.
DCA’s new food and drink event features classic Disneyland food with a twist and socially distanced Disney characters. The festival’s menu includes Dole Whip, Monte Cristo Sandwich, and Lobster Nachos.
Tickets for Touch of Disney went on sale Thursday, March 4 at around 9am, and within minutes the website advised those in virtual queues of an hour-plus wait time. By 9:30 a.m., the virtual queue was suspended and Disneyland was “temporarily unable to sell any more tickets.” Shortly after 10am, the wait time he went back to over an hour. By 11:30 a.m., people who entered the virtual queue at 9 a.m. still had a wait of over an hour.
By 1:30 p.m., most of A Touch of Disney’s March dates have sold out, except for a few weekdays. Most dates in April were still available — except for a few weekend days.
Disneyland has partnered with Denmark-based Queue-It for online ticket sales. The virtual waiting room service, which promises to keep websites from crashing due to high traffic, works with Ticketmaster, StubHub, and Tickets.com.
Queue-It throttles traffic when visitors exceed your site’s capacity, placing visitors in a virtual queue on a first-come, first-served basis.
A Touch of Disney ticket is $75 and includes parking at the Mickey & Friends structure, PhotoPass download, and $25 dining card for food and non-alcoholic beverages.
