On National Donut Day, November 5thth, Everglazed Donut is now official. Via social media, they declared their new “Take 6” donuts to be an official regular part of their menu. This donut popped up about a week before this make-up food holiday. But if there are any delicious new donuts, I’d be more than welcome. This donut consists of a chocolate-dusted yeast base. Then top with crushed peanuts, pretzels, caramel, peanut butter and sea salt.
Take Six donuts are priced at $6.50. The portion size matches what you would expect from an Everglazed donut. Recommended. This donut is easy to share. The donuts were easily carved even with all the toppings.
Well, how was this donut? We found it a great addition to our menu. This one doesn’t go past my favorite donut here, the Peanut Butter Explosion, but it’s still a very solid flavor.
The raised yeast base serves its purpose, but it doesn’t glow. Usually, the average-tasting chocolate frosting from theme donuts worked well with this combination. As a peanut fan, I was impressed with these. and does not dry out.
The rest of the ingredients complimented this creation. The sea salt ingredient also ups some ingredients. This donut part sum works very well.
If the team at Overglaze took inspiration from the “Take 5” candy bar, they did well. I thought this one was tastier. Still, the price difference should be argued. This is because it costs almost twice as much as the smaller version of Voodoo.
