Proclaiming The Boathouse to be the best restaurant in the Disney Springs area of Walt Disney World has solid proof. Clearly, Walt Disney World has some better dining options. But this restaurant ranks very high. As you can imagine, that high quality comes with an excellent price. Also, this place focuses on seafood so expect another level of pricing. As with most Walt Disney World table service dining, the higher the price, the better the food served. For the most part, that’s the case with boathouses.
This is where getting reservations becomes a challenge. If you fail when his 60-day window for reservations begins, we encourage you to book here using the dining reservation service. We’ve heard a lot of success stories from guests using them. Now, with almost every table service dining option at Walt Disney World, getting a reservation can be a challenge. Add the overall quality factor here and these reservations are quickly gone. If you want an evening seat or weekend brunch seat, this problem increases exponentially.
Today’s menu is in such a situation. We got a reservation for the whole party at The Boathouse. However, the time of day does not fit your normal eating pattern. Maybe you make a reservation for 11:15 am when you usually have breakfast around 9 am. Maybe your reservation is for 3pm, but you were hungry at lunch. In both scenarios, I have no appetite. I don’t want this reservation to go to waste. That said, I don’t want to pay over $40 for a great meal that I don’t really enjoy.
The Filet Mignon Slider solves this dilemma. These sliders come with fries. The menu description emphasizes the maitre de butter. These sliders are currently $15. Like I said, boathouses fall into higher quality at higher price points.

On the positive side, these sliders are very tasty. You can get excellent meat quality and preparation for a little more than your average counter service burger. The meat remains moderately juicy. The texture of the burger meets the standards of a good table service establishment. If you order this in a situation similar to my scenario above, in the least you won’t be disappointed.

On the not so good side, these sliders seem to have gotten smaller over the years.Fries are average for a table service meal. The flavors may be great, but if you’re looking to whet your appetite, getting two small sliders with fries seems like a slam dunk. . Disney Springs restaurants have so many delicious burgers that some guests are discouraged from ordering one due to the portion size.
If you’re under the stress of eating like the one above at The Boathouse, you won’t regret getting these sliders. These become just appetizers when you show up to your reservation hungry. For the best burgers on site, head to STK Steakhouse for a weekday lunch. When you’re looking for an incredibly well-prepared burger, give these sliders a try.
As always, eat like you mean it!
