There’s a lot to look forward to at Walt Disney World Resort this year. From new exciting rides like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind lives up to expectations for the 2022 release of Magic Kingdom’s new Tron roller coaster. Rides aren’t the only things coming to Florida’s Disney parks, but there are also several new restaurants, shows, and projects.
This is especially common at EPCOT, where the park is currently undergoing a major transformation. His one of the first new additions to this project will open soon and some guests will be able to try it out. Unfortunately, one guest had a disappointing experience and shared it online.

A recent Reddit post sparked some discussion about Disney’s latest addition coming in the form of EPCOT’s Connections Cafe & Eatery. shared. The post was accompanied by a photo, as you can see below.

Several guests also shared their thoughts and opinions in the comments section. One user couldn’t believe the price of the pizza ($11) and said it was “greedy” to charge so much. Another user criticized Disney CEO Bob Chapk’s lack of portions, saying, “It’s Chapek’s time for you.”
To make matters worse, the first guest to order the pizza said it felt and looked as if it had been sitting for quite some time and said, “Very disappointing. The pictures looked promising, but if this is the quality You’d better skip it, go somewhere else.” After receiving a side salad with his pizza, the guest said, “I was a little ripped off,” but with the salad Even looked pretty “sad”.

The biggest concern is that this very small slice of pizza is related to an initiative Disney announced last year to reduce portion sizes. To start cutting costs, Disney indicated it plans to “reduce portions” at restaurants at Disney parks, saying it’s “good for guests’ waistlines.”

Unfortunately, some guests seem to really like the new restaurant. In another post, guests raved about one of the burger options on the menu. That comment he section one user of hers said she was a little disappointed with the burger as she felt like she did with the other burgers but the salad was great. This new restaurant is still nearing its official opening date, so hopefully all the kinks will be worked out.
As mentioned, this new restaurant/coffee shop/hangout spot officially opens next Wednesday, but we’re doing an early preview for guests who happen to be visiting.
This new eatery is part of EPCOT’s ongoing transformation. Connections Cafe replaced part of Innovations and EPCOT’s old quick-service restaurant known as The Electric Umbrella.
