As maintenance problems continue to worsen throughout Walt Disney World, even standards of cleanliness seem to be sidelined when it comes to things not absolutely required by law. A visit to Kingdom revealed one of the most disgusting sights I’ve ever seen in a park. The boat in “It’s a Small World” is completely dirty and black.

Yellow boats in particular highlight the problem. Black stains run all over the sides.

This pattern extends well above the boat’s waterline and beyond where contaminants from the water can sink. These are simply filthy and disgusting, and look more like abandoned cars in a post-apocalyptic wasteland than happy boats cruising the country. Of the world.

It seems unlikely that the boat has been hosed down and washed for months. The gunk runs along the entire side of the boat and continues to the crest where guests can rest their arms as they board. It gets worse towards the center of the boat and the water doesn’t always wash away. Perhaps even the water inside the attraction isn’t as clean as it should be.
The rest of the vehicle is mostly in rough shape. Lights are out or malfunctioning and many figures are immobile or missing altogether.
Walt Disney World appears to have completed its transition period from the COVID-19 pandemic and returned to normal operations. He will resume maintenance reports in January 2023, which has been on hiatus while the resort focuses on the pandemic.
