A day at the beach with the family is definitely the most Aussie way to spend time.
We love our beach, but we know the wave conditions can be unpredictable and we have to be careful and keep an eye on each other.

It’s worth it for your business.

Lucky for you in this country, there are surf life savers at popular beaches when you’re on vacation to help you out if you’re having trouble surfing.
The Mid North Coast Surf Life Saving Club relies on volunteers to train and act as surf life savers. On Sunday 18th September 2022, Maxville Scottshead SLSC will host an Open Day in Scottshead with the aim of attracting new members.
Maxville Scotts Head SLSC Club Captain Eric Graham told News Of The Area:
“If anyone wants a bronze medal, we have instructors available and a strong surf boat team that welcomes new members.”
Derek Patton, Head SLSC Junior Activities Coordinator for the Maxville Scotts, told News of the Area:
“Nippers aren’t competitive until they’re 12 and under, so it’s all about having fun in the water and gaining confidence.”
The Macksville Scotts Head SLSC Open Day begins Sunday, September 18th at 10am and runs until 12pm.
Visitors will see exhibits of SLS equipment, talk about lifesavers and their roles and nippers, and there will also be a sausage sizzle where interested people can sign up as members on the day.
