Walt Disney World Resort has many iconic attractions that draw guests from all over the world.
Disney World theme parks, including Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, offer plenty of rides and entertainment for the whole family.

Magic Kingdom attractions include Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Cruise, Seven Dwarf Mine Train, It’s a Small World, Peter Pan’s Flight, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Splash Mountain (open) . .
One of the Magic Kingdom’s most popular rides every day is none other than Space Mountain.
Tomorrowland attractions consistently have some of the longest wait times of any attraction within a Disney park. This is because of its thrill level and unique atmosphere.

However, Disney park guests who recently visited the attraction noticed a mold-like substance growing on the rows of rows.

Has anyone noticed mold growing on these AC vents in Space Mountain queues? From Walt Disney World
While some said it might be “green rust” in a social media thread, several Disney World guests said they believed it was “definitely mold.”
“It’s definitely mold,” they said. “The amount of condensation on these vents is ridiculous. The rooms weren’t designed to have a roof over them and when they added a roof in a 2009 renovation they didn’t need to update the AC system Since most of the queue is in this room, it creates a lot of heat and these AC vents can’t keep up with it, it runs all day and creates a lot of condensation and mold.”

Disney Cast Members work hard to keep the ride areas clean. There have recently been reports of mold at several attractions, but this has not been confirmed by Disney World.
Disney describes Space Mountain as follows:
“Be mindful immersed in pitch-black darkness as the futuristic soundtrack echoes around you. Fly past meteors and celestial moons. Pass by comets, moving meteors, be drawn into swirling wormholes and feel the gravity!”
