A new dress inspired by Disneyland’s Matterhorn is now available for purchase at Disney Springs Marketplace co-op Tren D.

This Matterhorn-inspired dress is a modern take on the traditional dirndl worn by women and girls in the German-speaking Alps. This dress is a tribute to the Matterhorn his bobsleigh attraction in Fantasyland at Disneyland Park.
The dirndl features a gathered full skirt paired with a fitted bodice. Normally the bodice and skirt are often contrasting colors, but this version is all finished in a soft alpine green. Instead of a separate white blouse, this dress has a blouse sewn onto the garment. This modern version of updates the classic style with a fresh design that’s likely to be more comfortable in the Florida heat than layered styles.

The white blouse portion of the dress is seen at the top around the three-quarter length sleeves and neckline of the dress. Both the sleeves and neckline are made from Dot Swiss. The neckline includes a bit of lace at the top.

This dress features wavy dotted Swiss sleeves with lace trim at the hem. Garter-like white gathered elastic near the bottom of the sleeves adds a playful touch to the garment.

The dress is adorned with seven decorative gold-tone buttons, each featuring a floral design.

This dress features a red ribbon traditionally found on dirndl around the waist, which can be tied into a bow for extra decoration.

Unlike many other dresses on The Dress Shop label, this one has a more subtle design, a subtle nod to Disney charm. The brand’s other dresses often feature more overt references to Disney.

Large, colorful flowers can be seen all over the skirt, with variations of the flowers seen in Switzerland.

The skirt of the dress is adorned with a variety of flowers in shades of white, blue, orange, and red, including forget-me-nots, lilies, and aster-like flowers. The floral design adds a pop of color and a touch of nature to the garment.
