The Disney Wish has been sailing for several months now and with a few cruises, we’ve had the chance to find every (or at least almost every) easter egg hidden on the Disney Cruise Line ship. Watch our video of easter eggs below and read on for photos and details.

    The Disney Wish

disney wish upper decks at night featured stock
    • The unifying theme of the ship is “enchantment”, which is why that was almost the name of the Disney Wish. All three of the new ships will have completely different themes and motifs according to Disney.
    • The Forward of the ship is themed to the enchanted woods that may be just outside of a kingdom, while the Aft is meant to represent the kingdom itself with castles and fairytales.
    disney wish stern rapunzel pascal
    • You’ll find Rapunzel (and Pascal) hanging out on the stern of the ship, putting the finishing touches on the signage. Rapunzel is the first Disney Princess to get the nod of being placed on the stern.
    disney wish carpet 1195
    • A way-finding system is embedded in the carpeting. At each landing, you’ll find a sign of where you are. This will materialize with items from Cinderella including a clock tower, a glass slipper, a pumpkin, or the coach. Elsewhere on the ship, you’ll find a castle, an owl, a shell, or the sun icon from Tangled.

    disney wish elevator walls 0220

    • Elevators at the forward feature woodland creatures such as squirrels and rabbits. On the aft, you’ll find iconography from Cinderella such as the pumpkin, the coach, Jaq and Gus, and a helpful bluebird.
    disney wish elevator walls 7321
disney wish observation deck view of senses spa hidden mickey
    • If you visit the Observation Deck, you’ll have your best chance to photograph a giant hidden Mickey formed by the awnings in the outdoor portion of the Senses Spa.

    Art

    • Pieces in the forward stair halls focus on moments of transformation, while the aft focuses on fantastical locations.
    • Found in the forward stairs between decks 3 and 4 is the piece “The Disney Wish Joins the Disney Cruise Line Fleet”, which represents the real journey the ship took from Meyer Werft to Port Canaveral. It was created by Los Angeles-based artist Matteo Marjoram.
    • Another original piece by former Imagineer Nikkolas Smith is “Cindys”, a representation of Cinderellas from many different backgrounds, symbolizing how all women can help each other to rise.
    disney wish castle artwork 3511
    • Art representing Sleeping Beauty Castle from Disneyland, Cinderella Castle from the Magic Kingdom, and La Chateau de la Bell Au Bois Dormant from Disneyland Paris can be found in the forward stairwell at the very bottom floor.
disney wish mickey beanstalk animated mural 0847
    • An animated mural of Mickey and the Beanstalk resides between the 1923 dining rooms, featuring moving elements of Mickey and the gang, Willie the Giant, a horse-drawn carriage, and even The Disney Wish sailing by.

    The Grand Hall

    disney wish grand hall 0214
    • The space is designed to feel like you are inside a storybook castle.
    disney wish grand hall 9999
    • The ceiling above the chandelier features 4 larger stars. The upper 4 represent the other ships in the Disney fleet, while the one at the bottom of the chandelier, the wishing star, represents the Disney Wish.
    disney wish grand hall 0871
    • The shape of the chandelier is inspired by the magical spiral that encircles Cinderella’s dress as the Fairy Godmother creates it.

    • The railings around the hall feature pumpkins in the design.

    • Chandeliers on each floor of the atrium feature different accents meaningful in the Cinderella story: a pumpkin, a needle and thread, and her gown.
    disney wish grand hall 3860
    • At midnight each night, a special lighting and audio show takes place in the Grand Hall, representing the famous moment of the clock striking midnight in the film. On Pirate Night, a totally unique show celebrating Peter Pan takes place.

    Enchanted Sword Cafe

    disney wish carpet 0873
    • The small bar is themed to “The Sword in the Stone,” as evidenced by the large golden sword on the exterior railing and the carpet mural just steps away.
    • Lyrics to “That’s What Makes the World Go Round” from the film can be found on a mirror behind the bar.

    Wishing Star Cafe

disney wish wishing star cafe pinocchio 0444
    • The name is derived not only from “Pinocchio,” but also because it offers a clear view of the Wishing Star on the chandelier of the Grand Hall.

    • Hidden above the bar is the Nautilus from 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea being attacked by a giant squid, along with Ned attempting to free the vessel from the beast.
disney wish keg and compass 0927
    • The wooden octopuses around the portholes are holding various objects of note: a Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar, a Dole Whip, a Mickey Pretzel, and one even has gotten a hold of the Disney Wish ship.
disney wish keg and compass 0890
disney wish keg and compass 0926
    • Marc Davis’ art of opera singing Vikings for the Haunted Mansion resides on one wall.
disney wish keg and compass 3831

disney wish keg and compass 3833
    • The names of the two lead Imagineers on the interior spaces of the Disney Wish can be found on the faux map drawers and suitcases under the bar.
disney wish keg and compass 0880
    • There is a wooden plaque that reads “You are not the first to pass this way, nor shall you be the last.” This quote is of course from the lift hill scene of EPCOT’s Maelstrom attraction which was located in the Norway Pavilion. There is also a Maelstrom Stout on the menu.

    Luna

    disney wish luna ceiling 3073
    • The theater is named after the 2011 Pixar short “La Luna,” which was shown before “Brave” in theaters.
    • Characters including Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, Wall-E, Eve, Jimmy Cricket, and Mufasa are hiding in constellations in the ceiling of the venue.

    • The art is inspired by the “it’s a small world” attraction (drawn by Joey Chou) and incorporates Disney characters into each region as most of the rides around the world have done. Some are actually represented in “it’s a small world” versions around the world, like Peter Pan characters in England or Marie from the Aristocats in France. However, some are major departures, such as characters from Luca in Italy, Remy in France, an entire Wakanda section, Coco in Mexico, Mirabel and the Encanto in South America, and an America section that features Spider-Man in New York City, Cars characters along Route 66, and characters from The Princess and the Frog. There’s even a Raya and the Last Dragon section in Asia. The bathroom fittingly is Under the Sea with characters from The Little Mermaid and Finding Nemo. There’s also a Serka Song deal like you would find used at Expedition Everest.

      • “Ask Happy if ants are allowed on the ship”
      • A “towel folding class” is listed, which plays a role in the Quantum Encounter show as well
      • Scott is also looking forward to some chicken tenders for lunch on deck 11
    • A letter from Pepper Potts of Stark Industries thanks Hope for accepting their invitation to the ship. The letter mentions the A.I. assistant F.R.I.D.A.Y., who also is the assistant in Avengers Campus in Disneyland Paris.

Fittingly enough, the ride was about shrinking guests down to visit the inside of a snowflake.
disney wish worlds of marvel quantum encounter 0658
    • Captain Marvel references a “date with some Kree warheads” when she departs from the fight. This references Avengers Assemble: Flight Force at Disneyland Paris which is taking place at the same exact time according to the Disney Parks Marvel universe.

      • Los Feliz – In 1932 Walt and Lillian had their Los Feliz home built at 4053 Woking Way, Los Angeles, CA.
      • Ink & Paint – This is an important department at the studio, and in fact is where Lillian was working when she met Walt.
