The credits McCall earned at Coastal Carolina proved problematic when transferring to other schools. Admittedly, as someone who knows a little bit about Coastal’s academic standards, this isn’t really a shock.
So, if that’s a consolation prize for the Florida Gators, McCall has pulled out of the transfer portal and will remain Chanticleer in 2023.
Florida Gators: Mitchell to Gainesville is official
A few weeks ago it was reported that Ohio LB Terjada Mitchell was heading to Gainesville for the 2023 season.
Mitchell opted out after four games to maintain his redshirt status, but couldn’t make it official until after the Ohio State season.
When the Buckeyes clock struck midnight, it literally meant that Mitchell could officially announce he was breaking free from Ryan Day’s control and joining Billy Napier and the Florida Gators.
Mitchell was a starter at Ohio State University in 2021, but was eventually phased out.

As of now, ESPN’s Bracketlogy does not have the Gators advancing to the NCAA Tournament, but the computer rankings still put Florida under discussion.
Florida is currently No. 45 on the KenPom rankings, and Texas A&M is No. 75.
