One of the world’s most visited cigar shops closes at the beginning of the new year.
Sosa Family Cigars in Disney Springs, Florida will be closing its doors on Monday, January 2, 2023. This ends his 25+ year partnership between the Sosa family and Disney. The family previously had a cigar bar called Fuego by Sosa that was on Disney’s Pleasure Island until it closed in 2013.

Disney banned smoking in all of its parks in 2019, but smoking was still allowed because the store is located in Disney Springs (technically outside the park boundaries).
“If my cousin Alex Sosa wasn’t running the show, this store wouldn’t be as great as it was all those years ago,” said Arby Sosa.
In addition to the store, the Sosa family sells cigars under their own name through Antillean Cigar Corporation. The family’s tobacco roots began in Cuba in his early 20th century and continued in both Miami and the Dominican Republic. In the mid-1990s, Juan B. Sosa began working for his Arturo Fuente, and the family has developed a longstanding relationship with his Arturo Fuente ever since.
