Most of my adventures into the Halloween-themed food world at Magic Kingdom this year have been average at best so far. . Still, the flavor and overall quality lags behind. Still, if you want a sweet treat that’s picture-worthy, Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Café offers the full package. Note that the potentially deceiving appearance of this delicious sugary treat may have to be overlooked. .
The Sweet Almond Corn Cake, available only during the Not So Scary Party, is priced at $5.79. The menu description says it’s an almond-vanilla cake dipped in white, orange, and yellow chocolate and topped with candy corn. Now, if you haven’t seen this photo yet, you probably don’t get the point about deceiving looks. looks like Of course, if you look closely, you’ll see real candy corn attached to this cake. The Disney chef/baker performed above and beyond expectations to create this themed treat look, and this cake comes in a corn costume, fitting for her party for Halloween.

How about this corn cake? Overall texture like a rich cake. Some people compare this to pound cake that way. This rich cake avoids the dryness issue, at least in my experience and the perspective of others I consulted with. But this piece tastes like cake. Of course, I’m from a region of America where cornbread doesn’t have the sweetness factor.
This cake is served with light icing and candy corn. It’s less than $6 at Walt Disney World and the portion size exceeds expectations. The white-style chocolate on top was delicious, but I’m not sure it would ideally match the cake pieces. Some guests found this icing too sweet. , I think it’s related to the non-traditional flavor of the icing. Perhaps you’re just expecting a lot of sugar at your Halloween party. Still, this minor complaint shouldn’t deter you from purchasing this sweet treat.
On the other hand, if you’re starting to experience a sugar overdose during a Halloween party, this treat will complete the process. Still, if the only criticism of the Halloween treat was related to too much sugar, I’d define it as a win for Disney. Despite what we said, mobile ordering for this treat didn’t work right.Like “Boo This”, good luck with your mobile ordering.
The Sweet Almond Corn Cake looks and tastes better than expected. The value shines with this treat compared to other treats this year. At this point, Halloween in the Kingdom of Magic in his hooded whirlwind tour ranks this one at the top.
As always, eat like you mean it!
