Finding new and delicious Disney foods is like a fun scavenger hunt every time you enter the Walt Disney World Resort. Around the resort you can find interesting and enjoyable treats and meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
In search of delicious Disney food, I ended up at Disney’s Polynesian Resort. There, he has plenty of options for all three meals of the day and all the snacks in between. Disney’s Polynesian Resort will include fan-favorite Ohana serving breakfast and dinner; Kona Café serving breakfast, lunch and dinner; Captain Cook serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and light fare; There is Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto and Barefoot Pool Bar serving drinks. Snacks at Pineapple Lanai, drinks at Tambu Lounge, drinks and snacks at Oasis Bar and Grill, snacks, coffee and sushi at Kona Island. There are food options any time of the day, including South Pacific and Asian flavors.
We will focus on one breakfast dish found in two restaurants at the Polynesian Resort: Tonga Toast. This fan-favorite breakfast dish is only available at Kona Cafe and Captain Cook. This delicious play on French toast is stuffed with bananas and rolled in cinnamon sugar.
Kona Cafe is a servered, seated dining experience. Kona Cafe’s Tonga Toast is $17 and includes Tonga Toast, strawberry compote, your choice of ham, spicy ham, bacon, and sausage.

Meanwhile, Captain Cook’s Tonga Toast, a quick-service restaurant, is $10.49. It is described as battered and fried sourdough bread stuffed with bananas and dusted with cinnamon sugar. Includes sides to choose from.

The food is basically the same at both restaurants, with the exception of some of the sides served and the addition of strawberry compote at Kona Cafe. is up to you. A delicious and sweet breakfast treat you won’t want to miss.
