Update 10:15am – A man has been confirmed in Canberra hospital after the incident on Tarrago Road and is in a stable condition.
Emergency services responded to reports of a single vehicle crash along a road on Lake George around 4:00 am.
The male passenger was taken to Canberra Hospital for treatment of his injuries, while the male driver was taken to Quenbiyan Hospital for mandatory tests.
Police said he was helping them with their investigation.
Officers from the Monaro Police Department set up the crime scene and officers from the Crash Investigation Unit are investigating.
Traffic diversions are in place and motorists are urged to avoid the area.

9 am – Tarago Road, north of Bungendall, is expected to be closed for a few hours following an early morning accident this morning (November 11th).
Information is limited due to lack of radio coverage in the area, but Monaro police on Facebook describe the incident near Lake George as a “serious car crash.”
“Tarago Road is closed to traffic in both directions. The closure will last for several hours,” said a statement posted at 5:50 a.m.
A Bungenore RFS crew was also at the scene and confirmed that the road is expected to be closed “in the foreseeable future.”
“Southbound traffic should use the Goulburn Road up to the Kings Highway,” it advised.
