Walt Disney World’s monorail system is still out of service after it first went down last night.

The monorail is out of service. Travel from the Transportation & Ticket Center to Magic Kingdom currently requires ferry or bus.

Buses to EPCOT and resorts are also available.

A sign directs guests to the Magic Kingdom Ferry Boat.

Posts and ropes block the way to the monorail station.

Cast members say the bus is faster than the ferry.

Guests can also walk to the Magic Kingdom through Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, but this will take longer.
Around 8pm last night, the monorail system went down. Cast members only say there are technical issues. Some guests on social media have stated that their systems experienced power outages, but these reports have not been confirmed. Cast members hope to resume tonight, but are unsure.

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has signs indicating that the monorail is not in service. Board the bus from this resort with stops at the Grand Floridian, Magic Kingdom, Contemporary, Transportation and Ticket Centers and return to Polynesian. To get to EPCOT, you need to go to the transport and ticket center and take a bus from there.
