This year is the 100th anniversary of The Walt Disney Company. Throughout 2023, the Disney 100 will celebrate “bringing the wonder and magic of Disney to generations and how these beloved characters and stories connect us all.”
Throughout the year, people join in the celebration and celebrate with their favorite Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, 20th century, share National Geographic memories with #ShareTheWonder and #Disney100. According to Disney, these posts honor and shine a spotlight on the countless memories Disney and Disney fans have created together over the past century. This is a chance for everyone to share their own wonderful magical moments.
The Disney100 will also showcase some of fan-favorite stories and characters through monthly themes. The first theme starts aptly with the mouse that started it all. Today, Disney officially kicked off its first monthly Wonder of … celebration with a focus on Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse. For nearly a century, Mickey and Minnie have inspired fans with “optimism, positivity and loyalty.” As Disney shared, “These are features that honor not only Disney’s legacy, but Walt Disney’s own.”
Throughout the year, there are plenty of opportunities to celebrate Disney’s 100 Years of Wonder with both Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse. There are also special opportunities throughout the year to meet Mickey and Minnie.
Minnie and Mickey’s Runaway Railway at Disneyland Resort
Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway will open to Disneyland guests when the Disney 100 Celebration begins at Disneyland Resort on January 27, 2023. Go on a silly adventure aboard a Goofy-designed train in the world of Mickey and Minnie cartoons. ”
Disneyland Paris Polka Dot Day
Polka dot day is January 22 every year. Disney fans come together to celebrate Minnie Mouse’s iconic style. In 2023, Disneyland Paris will celebrate the day in a new way. This includes new limited-time performances seen at Walt Disney Studios Park. There is also the opportunity for new encounters with Minnie Mouse in front of a brand new background. Photopass limited magic shots, special rewards and surprises only for polka dot days!
Parades, Souvenirs & Sweets at Walt Disney World Resort
Walt Disney World Resort has many ways for Mickey and Minnie fans to celebrate these two magical mice. You can meet them at all four theme parks.They can also be found at Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade At Magic Kingdom Park. Mickey and Minnie merchandise will be sold not only at the parks, but also throughout Disney Springs. For those with a sweet tooth, Mickey and Minnie-themed sweets will be available throughout Walt Disney World Resort. These include Mickey and Minnie Chocolate Covered Apples from Main Street Confectionery at Magic Kingdom, Mickey and Minnie Mousse Dome Cake from Amoret Patisserie at Disney Springs, and Vintage Mickey and Minnie Sugar Cookies from Carousel Coffee. Adventures by Disney also offers several ways to celebrate Mickey Mouse.There are two itineraries that allow you to explore Mickey’s story, including tours of Walt Disney Studios and The Walt Disney Archives in Burbank.
